My name is Blake Britton and I’m an expatriate from the United States who moved to the UK in November 2015. I grew up in the city of Vestavia Hills, which is just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. I attended college at Auburn University in Alabama. Since then, I have worked in the radio industry as a producer, board operator and also a traffic announcer on the radio and television.
I have had a love for photography since I was a small child when I begged my father to take photos on his camera while on family holidays. I received my first camera (A Canon Snappy) when I was 8 and I was totally hooked. Now, I get paid to do the things that I love! Isn’t life just grand?
If you’d like to know anything else about me, just ask. I’m an open book. Also, feel free to visit and like my photography page on Facebook by clicking here.
I’m a firm believer that it’s not the equipment that makes a good photo, but the photographer. This is true in 95% of cases. However, there is a noticeable difference in quality (clarity for example) when you use more professional grade equipment. That being said, here’s what I’m using:
- Canon EOS 6D
- Canon EOS 80D
- Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L USM II
- Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS II USM
- Sigma 8mm f/3.5 DX
- Canon 100mm f/2.8L
- 2x Canon 600EX-RT Speedlights
- 2x Yongnuo YN600EX-RT
- Canon ST-E3-RT Transmitter
- Canon 2x III Extender
